Nordic combined

Nordic combined is a Winter Olympic Games medal winter sport, involving cross-country skiing and ski jumping.

The ski jumping event is held first, the cross country normally the day thereafter. Differences in length and style is converted into difference in time, and the starting time for the individual participants in the cross country event is spaced out to compensate, so that the first participant crossing the finish line is also the winner.
